And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20, ESV)
We believe the Great Commission was given to all believers and that it starts with our friends, neighbors, co-workers, teammates, or people you meet at the coffee shop. We have been given a gift, that gift is the Gospel, and it’s not a gift we hide away for ourselves but one we share with the world. Not everyone is called to be a missionary to another Country, but everyone is on mission.
We love to send groups out on short term missions. We believe that it’s vital for a believer to see how they are connected with people all around the world because of their mutual relationship with Jesus Christ. It is also life changing to see how God can do the impossible even when you speak a different language and seemingly have very little in common. One thing crosses every perceived barrier and that is the Gospel.
CBC supports Missionaries all around the world, who are dedicated to sharing the Gospel and seeing lives changed. We are the sponsoring Church for Missionary Justin Ross in Caragutatuba, Brazil. Justin along with his wife Jenna, sister Heather Nishikawa, and brother-in-law Thiago Nishikawa have been part of some amazing work. Serving not only in the church but also in a school they help run. They are truly making a difference for the people and community they serve.
Cornerstone Builders is a unique ministry sent out by CBC. Missionary builder Jay Weidener and his family have traveled the United States and beyond, working on church buildings, pastor’s homes, schools, and more. Jay uses his passion and talent for construction to bless others and glorify the Lord.
